Meet Our Director
My name is Christy Pelikan, and I am the Center Director for Land of Learning! I have been working in the childcare field for over 15 years. I started as an assistant teacher right here at Land of Learning. I have had various jobs in the field such as a lead teacher, early interventionist, and for the last 4 years, as a center director.
I chose a career in early childhood because I enjoy watching children blossom and love finding how to meet each child’s unique abilities and needs. I’m a native of DeKalb and currently live in Sycamore. I look forward to serving you and your families. I enjoy spending time with my fiancé and our two dogs. In my free time, I enjoy running, cooking, and anything outdoors.
